Therapy in Austin & online across Texas
Compassionate, creative therapy for anxiety, trauma, and the moments that ask more of you than you feel you have. Together we move from simply surviving to a fuller, more present life.
Meet Margaret
Carrying the weight of everyday life can quietly wear you down. So many of us get by on a bare minimum of reserves, even when it looks from the outside like we have it all together. Much of the energy that should be ours stays locked in the past, in old hurts and in the stories we tell about who we are.
Those stories matter, and they can be rewritten to reflect the strength you've already grown into. My work is helping you free that energy, so you can be more present and live a fuller, more joyful life.
The way I work
I think of the depths of our work as snorkeling and scuba diving. Snorkeling stays near the surface, short-term and solution-focused, getting specific things in order. Scuba diving goes deeper, into history, roots, family, and the experiences that shaped you. We can do either, or both, depending on what you need and when.
For clients
How I practice
01 · Presence
Safety, attunement, and real presence create the ground where change becomes possible.
02 · The body
We work with how your nervous system holds experience, not only the story you can put into words.
03 · Integration
I weave Art Therapy, EMDR, and KAP together in the way that fits you, rather than forcing one method.
04 · Your pace
We move at the pace that feels right for you. You stay in the driver's seat, always.
For therapists
Grounded, generous guidance for clinicians building their skills and their confidence.
Guidance through the ATR-P process for art therapists pursuing registration, with steady clinical support.
Clinical supervision for LPC Associates working toward full licensure in Texas.
Consultation for therapists learning EMDR or deepening an established practice.
On creativity
I believe healing and connectedness go hand in hand, that welcoming every part of us, even the unexplored or rejected parts, is how we arrive at true well-being.
Creativity is how we get there, even when we can't yet see where "there" is. It's woven through everything I offer, on the page, in the studio, and in the room.
